YHHAP’s fundraising project organizes and directs a diverse array of on-campus and off-campus fundraisers to gain donations from the Yale, New Haven, and national communities. These donations are used to alleviate the immediate effects of homelessness through supporting YHHAP’s No Closed Doors office, other YHHAP service projects, and a variety of vital soup kitchens, shelters, and non-profits throughout New Haven.
From 2010 to 2012, the fundraising project helped run the Shelter Now campaign to provide funds to shelter every man, woman, and child in need in New Haven during the winter.
Since 2011, the fundraising project has supported Columbus House, New Haven Home Recovery, Liberty Community Services, and the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen.
